I am an environmental scientist now located in Houston, Texas after 26 years in the Hawaiian Islands. I am fascinated by places and natural processes. Studying climate change research is a new interest that I will learn about by writing about. I also frequently write about land use, water resources, cycling, backpacking, and astronomy! I had an unfortunate experience as a professional astronomer and physicist back in the day, and that education has provided a foundation while I dabble in these other subjects.
